The Machine
The KB90 takes its name from Kent Bakke, La Marzocco's Board Chairman, who twenty years ago imagined the straight-in portafilter system that defines the machine. The architecture represents the ultimate evolution of the Linea PB — La Marzocco's flagship commercial line — refined for the world's busiest cafés. It is the machine that pulls espresso at the most demanding establishments globally.
Independent brew boilers per group head allow the operator to optimize temperature for individual coffees simultaneously. The active heated group system maintains thermal stability shot-to-shot in conditions that would defeat any conventional design. The Steam Flush system automatically purges the brew path with steam and hot water between extractions, keeping the group clean even under continuous use. With optional Auto Brew Ratio scales integrated directly into the drip tray, the KB90 stops extraction based on mass — using La Marzocco's Drip Prediction algorithm to deliver shot-to-shot accuracy that approaches commercial impossibility.
The KB90 is offered in two-group and three-group configurations, in standard or scale-equipped (ABR) variants, with virtually infinite color customization.
